We are looking for hard working, self motivated, outgoing, confident people who have good people skills and can work on their own initiative as well as part of a small team.

You will be working for a small independent company whose reputation is based on its excellent client service.

The job will be varied and will involve several different roles, you will be paid a monthly salary, be provided with accommodation, food, a lift pass and insurance.  There will be opportunities for extra money to be earned in the form of tips.

Altitude Holidays pride themselves on their standards of care, quality and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

You will need to be over 24, have an EU passport and a clean driver’s licence.

Having basic (or better) French language skills would be advantageous but is not essential.

Duties

The job will be varied and include a wide variety of different roles, many of which will involve client contact, some of which will involve working on your own – all will involve you being part of a team.

If you are employed as a chalet chef your job will be varied, you will not be cooking in one chalet for the whole season – you will have some weeks where you are in one chalet for a week cooking for the same guests and other weeks where you may be cooking one off meals for groups of people in smaller apartments.

Other duties will include:

1               Chalet Style cooking (3 course meals) or chalet assistant.

2               Airport Transfers in a minibus (driving)

3               Packing and delivering welcome packs, linen etc.

4               Checking clients in and out of apartments

5               Collecting lift passes

6               Shopping

7               Washing and ironing linen

8               End of stay cleaning

9               Taking clients to ski hire shop

10           General administrative tasks (basic computer skills will be an advantage)

The Good, The Bad & The Ugly

This is an exciting opportunity to join a young, growing company with a great reputation in a role that is varied and interesting.

You will not be stuck in a chalet for a season; you will be out and about, have a lot of client contact but not be having to entertain them for the whole week!

Although working as part of a small team there will be times when you will be working on your own, there will be some late nights and early starts.  There will also be shorter days and plenty of ski time!

Whilst you will be expected to work hard we are skiers and understand that you are probably here to ski or board (so are we!) but the job must always come first.

We are an equal opportunities employer - boarders may apply as well!

The ugly?...... transfers on a powder day and the MD!

WHAT NEXT?

Like the sound of the job?  Think we’d be mad not to employ you?

Then send us (by e-mail or post) a copy of your c.v. and a covering letter explaining why you feel you are the ideal candidate and detailing any relevant experience you may have.
